Learning goals | Students of the lecture “Innovation Management” will gain insights into the significance of innovations in the field of business administration and management as well as getting to know different instruments for an effective innovation management (creativity promotion, technology and strategic management of innovations). |
Learning content | Examples for the learning content are: Definition and basic dimensions of innovation management, creativity promotion, technology management, innovation culture, innovation organization, overcoming cognitive barriers, strategic innovation management, time- and portfolio management. |
Forms of knowledge intermediation | Lecture (2 contact hours), tutorial (1 contact hour). The lecture will be enhanced through case studies, literature discussions and excursions. The tutorial will support the lecture with additional examples and case studies. |
Recommended previous knowledge | Fundamentals of Organization / Organization Theories and Management Style would be beneficial. |
