H-2: Seminar on Strategic Management and Organization

Learning goals | Participants of the seminar “Strategic Management and Organization” shall enable students to independently incorporate themselves into a topic within the framework of a written composition. For a successful seminar, students will be taught methods of academic research and writing. Usually, the seminar requires own empirical research which makes it inevitable for students to acquaint themselves with selected approaches of qualitative and quantitative research methods. The chair offers respective training courses. |
Learning content | Seminars at the chair of strategic management and organization are conducted with a focus on empirical methodology. Students are therefore enabled to learn different methods of empirical data analysis. |
Forms of knowledge intermediation | This module requires the independent handling of a scientific topic. The results are to be presented and defended within the plenum afterwards. |
Recommended previous knowledge | A general affinity regarding empirical research is beneficial. |

Certificate of performance | This module consists of the preparation of a written seminar thesis, a presentation and defense of the content and the active participation during the plenum. |
